Summary

If English is not your first language, you must have one of (minimum score):

• Graduation from Grade 12 with English 12 (65%) or English Literature 12 (65%) or equivalent from a school in a country where English is the principal language;
• Graduation from Grade 12 with English 12 (C+) or equivalent at an international school where English is the language of instruction;
• Six credits of post-secondary first year English at a university or college where English is the language of instruction;
• Graduation from a recognized degree program at an accredited college or university where English is the language of instruction;
• A TOEFL score of at least 84 (internet based) or 560 (paper based);
• IELTS Academic 6.5 (with no Band less than 6)
• CAEL 70 (with no component less than 60)
• PTE Academic 60
• Michigan English Language Assessment (MELAB) score of at least 80;
• (Temporarily- 2020/2021) Duolingo English Test (DET) 110-120
• Acsenda School of Management’s English Placement Test (EPT) 80

You must meet the admission requirements of your intended program.

• Proof of graduation from a British Columbia secondary school leading to university entrance or equivalent with an average grade of C+ (65%) or higher or 18 credits of a Post-Secondary education with an entrance GPA of greater than 2.0

This category of admission (Mature Student) applies to domestic applicants who completed their secondary studies in Canada but did not graduate from Grade 12. They must be at least 21 years of age and have demonstrated an ability to handle university courses through their work experience or other intellectual pursuits. This may include, for example, recent completion of grade 12 GED, completion of a diploma program, record of achievement at work, and evidence of intellectual pursuit or ability to handle intellectual material.

Letters of reference or additional documentation are normally required to support the decision to admit under this category. Prior Learning Assessment processes may apply. The decision to admit must be approved by the Dean of the program.

Acsenda School of Management reserves the right to determine whether an applicant can be considered admissible or classified as a mature applicant. Once admitted under the ‘mature’ category these applicants will become, upon registration, a ‘regular’ student and therefore must achieve and maintain the minimum academic required of ‘regular’ students.

Note: The admissions requirements for our degree and diploma programs are the same. International students must submit the following in order to be considered for admission:

• A copy of valid study permit and passport (for students who are already in Canada).
• Proof of graduation from a high school or equivalent program with a grade of C+ (65%) or higher.
• Proof you meet the English requirement 
• Proof you meet the Math requirement
• Official transcripts, diplomas and certificates with a certified English translation.
• A completed and signed application form.
• A non-refundable application fee of $150 CAD.
• All international schools must be accredited by the regional or national accrediting body or the Ministry of Education.

If you do not meet entrance criteria but can provide sufficient proof you can handle the material, such as completion of a GED, completion of a diploma program, or work experience, you may be granted permission to take up to four courses. If you achieve at least a 2.0 in each course, you will be considered for official acceptance into the BBA program.
