Entrance to this Program is competitive.
The portfolio and letter of interest are not due at the time of application, but will be submitted online and reviewed in May for the Fall intake and in October for the Winter intake.
Application Fee: $51.69 (domestic students); $22.97 (Current UFV students applying to a different program); $150 (international students)
Academic (minimum grade)

Admission Advice
1. After submitting your online application to UFV, you will receive information on program orientation and portfolio submission dates as well as portfolio guidelines. The portfolio and letter of interest are not due at the time of application, but will be submitted online and reviewed in May for the Fall intake and in October for the Winter intake.
2. All applicants must attend a program orientation. Applicants who reside outside the Lower Mainland area should contact the Bachelor of Media Arts Advisor for alternate arrangements.
3. Mature students (25 years and older) may be admitted, if you can demonstrate related experience in the field, can read and write at an appropriate level, and can meet the entrance requirements relating to writing within one year of admission. To apply under this category, please consult with an UFV's academic advisor.
4. If you do not meet the academic requirements for program entry, have the option of taking Qualifying Studies (upgrading courses) in order to upgrade your qualifications for future admissions.
5. Entrance to this Program is competitive. Applicants will be admitted based on prior academic success, workplace experience, and portfolio assessment.
Applicants also have to satisfy UFV's institution admission requirements as listed below.
There are two levels of English language proficiency:
(1) Entry-Level (This level of proficiency allows entry into some programs to begin post-secondary studies at UFV, but upgrading in English will be required before you can take first-year English or written communications courses and to enter many UFV programs)
(2) Degree/Diploma Level (This level of proficiency is required for admission to many university-level programs such as bachelor degrees, associate degrees, diplomas, post-baccalaureate programs, and graduate-level programs.)

If you have completed some post-secondary studies at another institution, you can possibly earn transfer credits toward your program at UFV. Use BC Transfer Guide to check course transferability/equivalency of courses completed in BC.

Post-secondary programs at UFV normally require BC secondary school graduation (or equivalent) for admission. However, some programs accept mature students (19 years or older on the first day of class) without secondary school graduation.
Each program has specific admission requirements in place to ensure students have a reasonable opportunity to succeed.
