Seats are initially filled based on complete applications received by March, although occasionally seats may become available after that date. Applications received after March will be reviewed, and qualified applicants may be a placed on a wait list.

Admission Advice
1. Applicants may apply while they are completing prerequisite courses.
2. Admission to the Rural Pre-Medicine Program is a selective admission process. Successful applicants are identified through the combined evaluation of academic qualifications, non-academic activities, and connection to rurality. A limited number of the most qualified applicants will be admitted into the program based on availability of seats.
3. Students interested in the program who do not have the prerequisites should consult with the Chair of the School of University Arts and Sciences at Selkirk College to discuss possible pathways.

If English is not your first language, you must provide one of the following (minimum scores) for entry to Selkirk College University-Transfer, Diploma or Degree programs:

If you have completed some post-secondary studies at another institution, you can possibly earn transfer credits toward your current program at Selkirk College. To receive transfer credit, you must submit an official transcript with your Application for Admission or Readmission along with a Transfer Credit Request form. A detailed course description/outline may also be required before credit can be evaluated.
