ITA Registration

Individuals who wish to begin an apprenticeship in this program must register with the ITA along with their sponsors. Application forms for all programs are available from the ITA website. Online registration is also available for most programs though the ITA website.

"Red Seal Welder with Multi-Process Welding Endorsement" (MPAW) means a certified Welder who has advanced training, skills, and abilities to weld all materials, including specialized alloys, by any manual welding process, in any position, and other such work usually done by a Red Seal Welder with MPAW Endorsement. 

This program normally takes one year to complete.   

The technical training requirement is 150 hours (5 weeks) and can typically met through block-release training delivered by an ITA-approved training provider. This normally is offered on a full-time basis. The work-based training is 900 hours.
