The Advanced Care Paramedic program starts each Fall at the New Westminster campus. In addition, a regional cohort may be offered in either Victoria or Kelowna on alternating years.
The application period for each intake opens the preceding February with the selection process taking place in April. Check and verify directly with JIBC for application dates and deadlines of future program intakes (click on the tab of Application & Deposit Due Dates').
Application Fee: $75
Academic (minimum grade)
1. One of:
2. English 12 (C) or equivalent
3. PCP (Primary Care Paramedic) Certificate and License
4. Completion of JIBC's Health Sciences Diploma or the following courses*:

Non-Academic
1. Submit ACP Applicant Information Form (in addition to submitting an Online Application to JIBC)
2. Two years of PCP (Primary Care Paramedic) work experience at time of application deadline
3. IV Insertion License Endorsement or Training Certificate
4. Current ITLS Basic (JIBC HLTH 1300) or PHTLS certification
5. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (formally CPR for Healthcare Provider (HCP))

Transfer credit is not done automatically. Students are responsible for initiating the transfer credit process. To receive transfer credit, you must submit an official transcript with your Application for Admission or Readmission, along with a Transfer Credit Request form. A detailed course description may also be required before credit can be evaluated.
