If you have completed some post-secondary studies at another institution, you can possibly earn transfer credits toward a program at Emily Carr University (ECU). Please note that entry to ECU's second and third-year undergraduate programs will be granted on a space availability basis.

Non-Matriculated Adult Applicants = applicants who do not have high school graduation to meet the admission requirement. This admission category is limited to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada who are at least 21 years old and who have obtained at least a 'C' grade in a senior level English literature course. Emily Carr University reserves the right to determine whether or not an applicant can apply under this category.
Note: If you have not completed your Secondary School Diploma, it is strongly recommended that you enroll in Adult Basic Education (ABE) courses and complete the BC Adult Graduation Diploma (or equivalent).
Aboriginal Admissions Category - Emily Carr University is dedicated to providing access and support for all applicants and particularly underrepresented populations. The University will consider aboriginal applicants who do not meet the academic standing required for admission. Consideration for admission will be based on educational background, cultural knowledge, work experience, academic goals, personal achievements and current artistic portfolio.
