1) Program Admission Requirements

Non-Academic

  • be at least 18 years old before the first day of classes
  • not have received a Grade 12 graduation certificate from any institution
Note: Students are accepted into Grade 10, 11 or 12 of the Senior High School Program based on an evaluation of the official transcripts from their previous school, as well as their English language fluency.

2) Institution Admission Requirements

Applicants also have to satisfy Coquitlam's institution admission requirements as listed below.

English Language Requirements

If English is not your first language, you must have one of the following for direct entry (minimum score):

  • IBT of 86 or 230 computer based score
  • TOEFL score of at least 570 (paper based score) or 230 (computer based score)
  • CAEL score of at least 60
  • IELTS score of at least 6.5 with 6.0 on the writing component
  • An overall score of 60 on PTE with 60 on the writing component

If you do not have any of the previous scores, you may be required to write the Coquitlam College English Proficiency Test.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the English Proficiency Test is currently unavailable. Coquitlam College is temporarily accepting the Duolingo English Test.
