Admission Advice
1. Short handwritten essay (three pages, double-spaced) entitled, “Why I Want to Become a Paralegal”
2. Two letters of reference (preferably from past employers or college/university instructors)
3. The School of Legal Studies will review applications once the application package is complete. The applicant may be called for an interview if they meet the admission requirements.
4. Although not required, work experience in an office setting and a good working knowledge of computers are highly recommended

5. English is the language of instruction at CapU. All applicants are required to demonstrate competence in the English language prior to admission. If English is not your primary language, you must meet the English language requirements for admission.

High school students with superior academic records may apply for limited admission which will allow enrollment in one or two university-level Arts and Sciences courses while still attending secondary school.
The Concurrent Studies Consent Form (pdf) must be co-signed by your parent or legal guardian, with supporting comments provided by your high school principal (or their designate). The completed form must be accompanied by an official copy of your high school academic record. Inquiries should be directed to the Capilano University's Registrar's Office.
