Admission Advice
1. It is recommended that the academic admission requirements be completed within the past five years. If your courses are more than 5 years old, academic upgrading in the required subjects is recommended.

English proficiency for admission to most programs at Camosun College requires English 12 (C+) or equivalent.

Note(*): Duolingo English Test (DET) score of 105 is for General Admission to most Certificate and Diploma programs, and Bachelor of Business Administration programs (exceptions: Nursing and certain other Health-related programs). Each program has individual admissions requirements. To be considered for admission, you must meet or exceed the requirements for your chosen program. You must also meet the English proficiency requirement at a level suitable for your desired program. Taking a foundation program can help you build the skills that employers are looking for, making you well-positioned to find an employment in the trade and begin an apprenticeship.
Your technical and work-based training hours acquired from the Sheet Metal & Metal Fabrication Foundation Certificate program will be counted towards your next step in training as an apprentice.
